Differential Pressure Meters

The Pressure Differential Meters offered by Haug Quality Equipment are a useful tool for determining the correct test parameters for effective leak detection. Frequently, line operators do not apply enough vacuum in leak detection equipment to cause bubbles to escape from the package. This results in products being shipped to customers that may, in fact, be leaking. The meter is simple to use and is effective at determining vacuum levels. Used as a set-up tool and a regular test parameter, the Pressure Differential Meter gives you the confidence that the leak detection test is being run correctly. Through two sample tubes, the meter measures the difference between the chamber pressure and the pressure inside the package. Testing has shown that a pressure differential of 50 to 100mbar is sufficient to push a bubble out of a package. Although we will be glad to assist in testing, customers are responsible for determining what minimum pressure differential is appropriate for your specific packages. The higher the pressure differential, the easier it is to detect a leak.
